Usual Adult Dose for Dermatological Disorders

Apply a thin film to affected areas from two to three times daily depending on severity of the condition

Comments:

• Occlusive dressing may be used for managing psoriasis or recalcitrant conditions; discontinue use and initiate appropriate therapy if infection develops.

Use: Relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses

Monitoring:

• Urinary free cortisol and ACTH stimulation tests may be helpful in evaluating for hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression.

Patient advice:

• Use as directed by your physician.
• For external use only.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Do not to use this medication for any disorder other than for which it was prescribed.
• Do not bandage or otherwise cover or wrap the treated area such as to be occlusive unless directed by the physician.
• Report any signs of local adverse reactions especially under occlusive dressing.
• Parents of pediatric patients should not use tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants on a child being treated in the diaper area, as these garments may constitute occlusive dressings.
