Additional dosage information:
Usual Adult Dose for Hypertension
Initial dose: 1 tablet orally once a day.

Renal Dose Adjustments
Methyclothiazide is generally not effective in patients with creatine clearance less than 25 mL/min. Methyclothiazide should be used with caution in patients with severe renal disease. The elimination half-life of reserpine may be significantly increased in patients with renal insufficiency, therefore reserpine is not recommended in patients with renal dysfunction.
Liver Dose Adjustments
Thiazides should be used with caution in patients with impaired hepatic function or progressive liver disease, since minor alterations of fluid and electrolyte balance may precipitate hepatic coma.
Dose Adjustments
The dose may be adjusted after 1 to 2 weeks.
Dialysis
Reserpine is not dialyzable.
Other Comments
The maximum recommended dose is 2 tablets orally once a day.
