Noroxin (norfloxacin) for Bladder Infection "I was first prescribed this while on vacation in Australia. It helped immediately. So, I asked my doctor in the U. S. to prescribe it, so I could have it onhand for bladder infections. Was lucky to have it yesterday, Friday, at 5 p.m. after the doc was gone for the weekend and a bladder infection came on! The pain, burning, and pressure subsided in an hour or two, and it's only a 3-day treatment protocol. The side effects for me are just a little feeling of fatigue. Highly recommend!"

Noroxin (norfloxacin) for Urinary Tract Infection "One week after taking a five day course of Norflox I now, for past six weeks, have symptoms of peripheral neuropathy; my legs and arms are burning and tingling, several fingers are numb yet burning, sharp pain behind one knee when getting up sometimes or for no reason: this is a dangerous drug, do not take it, in my opinion. If a matter of life or death, maybe."

For Bladder Infection "Annoys me that symptoms of drug reaction can show up weeks to months later, so you can feel fine while taking this horrible drug. I blame my dr. for prescribing it, knowing my history of illnesses and drug reactions and my age, 73. He should not send me to lab for urine test but used a test strip which sat there til he saw another patient. The strips are to be read from 30 to 120 seconds. I now have pain, tingling, numbness in arms, hands, lower legs and feet and hardly ever go out. Because I am a in minority re drug affects, big pharma doesn't care.. there is no cure. DON'T TAKE IT unless as a last resort... search for Floxies on Internet and see how many thousands if people whose lives have been affected by taking Quinolone drugs such as these. Karma to who prescribes these."

For Urinary Tract Infection "This is very dangerous and potent drug. My doctor prescribed Norfloxacin for UTI just after 3 does I developed severe joint pains, swollen joints, headache and mild fever. Yes my UTI got cured in just 3 doses but this drug is very dangerous. Never take it unless there is life and death situation."

For Prostatitis "Given a prescription for 400mg/day for 28 days of Norfloxacin by Urologist to treat UTI/prostatitis. I am over 65 years old and was not warned that taking this antibiotic could lead to bad side effects. Bad side effects only became evident after almost completing the 28 day course. While it seems to have cured my UTI/prostatitis, six months after finishing course I'm still suffering side effects such as tendonitis in shoulder, joint, hip and back pain. I did not have these problems before taking Norfloxacin and can only hope my body will eventually rid itself of unpleasant Norfloxacin side effects. I advise others to quiz their medical practitioners about using alternative antibiotics before accepting Norfloxacin, particularly if you're over 60 years old or have other medical issues."
