Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) "I was taking Flexeril for muscle spasm's in my back. It would reliave the pain a little bit, but when I did my exercises and took Flexeril it helped. For severe pain I had to take Percocet. The two worked well together."

"The 5mg cyclobenzaprine tablets that I took from CVS pharmacy helped me sleep through the back pain which made me feel better in the day and I only took one half of the pill at a time however I picked up my refill from another Pharmacy and I cannot even tell that I have taken it although I took a whole pill. The pills themselves were from different drug manufacturers."

Amrix (cyclobenzaprine) "Amrix made me sleepy. And then for a week after 1 pill I was so irritable is was like psycho PMS and I hated everyone and everything. That stuff is toxic and I'll never take another one! Avoid it! Oh and my neck still hurt. Useless."

"my experience with this medication is not great. I'm not typically a "drug sensitive" person. I was prescribed 10mgs of this three times daily (yeah right!) for lower back spasms. I'd rather have the spasms, I took one 10mg pill and started like nodding off and drooling on myself about an hour after taking it. Then, I was out cold. The next day, I felt wasted and hung over. This was like 16 hours later. Sure my pain was gone but it took me about 48 hours to be able to function normally again after taking this pill. No thanks."

"I must be one of the rare ones. This medication was to be a resolution to constant pain from a pulled muscle in my face and neck after oral surgery. I was instructed to take 1-5MG tablet twice daily for 1 month. I take it 2 hours before bed, and by bedtime, I'm so wired and jittery, I have to stay up to avoid keeping my spouse up. I also have restless leg syndrome, spells were rare until this. After taking 1 tablet, I will spend the next 4 to 6 hours, pacing, as it seems to cause prolonged restless leg syndrome spells. The feeling seems to affect my arms as well, so I have this need to shake my hands/arms violently. Now, completely exhausted, I have to fight through the pain in my face still to sleep. I no longer take it."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) "I'm on it for fibromyalgia and it helps me more than the antidepressants and Mirapex did, but doesn't totally erase my pain. A lot of people complain that it knocks them out, but I'm on 10mg a dose and it doesn't do that to me."

Amrix (cyclobenzaprine) "This medicine has been a blessing for me after trying chiropractor. Physical therapy, injections, etc. I suffer from fibromyalgia, scoliosis, bulging neck disc. I sometimes get tired but after 61 years of being very active and hard work (I mean hard) naps are expected. Sometimes all of us need to slow down."

"This drug is horrible, my doctor recommended I takeone 5mg tablet for 7 days before bed time for neck and trapezious muscle pain, I feel a loss of balance, I feel like I'm going to pass out, at the time is this writing this is 18 hours after I took this drug I can't function at all, I can't work because I feel like the room is spinning and I'm also getting these severe headaches that come off and on during the day, I will not be taking this anymore. I'll stick to my ibuprofen and moderate exercise for my neck and trapezious muscle pain. And PS, if your a coffee drinker or like your sodas those will enhance all these effects even worse, I recommend not having caffeine at ALL!"

"Currently prescribed cyclobenzaprine and ibuprofen for lower back muscle spasms. Ibuprofen during the day and cyclobenzaprine at night. I was heavily cautioned about the cyclobenzaprine and to not make any plans after taking it. Hasn’t done a thing. I am told it doesn’t work on everyone. I have taken it after getting home from work just to see if I am missing something while sleeping. Nada, no relief, no drowsiness no relaxation of any muscles."

"I was prescribed Cyclobenzaprine 5 mg and Naproxen 500 mg for lower back pain. I took the medicine at night, and Immediately I felt heavy, I could not think clearly, like a heavy weight on my body and head. I did not like this feeling! The next day I felt dizzy and groggy, not clear thinking. This medication is not for me."

Fexmid (cyclobenzaprine) "This was prescribed for lower back pain. I was to take 1 before bed to help me sleep. Unfortunately, my body often reacts opposite to what is expected. It gave me insomnia. My brain refused to shut off while taking it. The doctor switched me to Soma, which works well for me."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) "I was prescribed 10mg Flexeril after pulling an abdominal muscle which lead to spasms. The Flexeril made the pain and spasms stop but gave me severe dry mouth and made me so dizzy I couldn't get to sleep."

Amrix (cyclobenzaprine) "I had a cervical dissection and had C5,6 & C5,7 removed and replaced with bone and other material, titanium bar over thee vertebrae and 6 screws, ground out all the calcium and bone spurs from arthritis. I wanted something I can work on weaker than soma. My Dr prescribed 30 mg. For 14 days I've taken 5 I haven't felt I need to take any more. It's really helped reduce my muscle spasms. I used my insurance and coupon to get the medication."

"I find that this drug has very mild muscle relaxant properties. It helps a bit, but not much for my sciatic pain caused by piriformis syndrome. The problem with this drug is that I am super groggy and tired the next day, and therefore must take long nap and/or force myself to function the next day. This medication puts a big damper into my daily productivity, while the actually pain relief results are minimal. Take with caution or avoid it."

"Perfect for severe up upper back muscle pain and spasms. I could barely stand by the end of a typical work day. Flexeril has made it possible to work and be more comfortable and able to enjoy life. Only side effects I've noticed is slight irritability, dry mouth, and only drowsiness when taken in a large dose or at the end of the day. Dosage is 10mg x 3 times daily. Usually one on my first work break, then 2 on my last break. Typically takes 1.5 hours to 2 hours to kick in so the timing is perfect. Able to enjoy life again, besides being stuck in be all the time."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) "I had some very tight, non-spasming, muscles in my back. Acute myo-fasciatis or something like that. For some reason, my doctor prescribed Flexeril, Vicodin 5/500 and 800 mg Ibuprofen. I didn't like the idea of taking Ibuprofen with acetaminophen, so I just used the Flexeril and Vicodin. It worked very well, but I couldn't do anything but turn into a pile on the couch when taking both."

"I was prescribed the 10 mg tablet and made me completely useless. I was so groggy and sleepy all I wanted to do was sleep. I had my Dr. reduce to 5 mg. Still groggy, sleepy. I took one last night because my neck was stiff and my back hurting and I hadn't taken one in a while. I slept OK, but had difficulty getting up. Once the initial rush of work was over at 10, all I wanted to do was sleep. I went online to see if there were similar experiences, and it appears that in general, this is what to expect from this narcotic. Mild headaches accompany the sleepiness and lack of focus. So does dry mouth. Now im just waiting for it to wear off so I can be back to normal..."

"I was prescribed this cyclobenzaprine after a serious life threatening car accident. Like others have said it has a narcotic effect. It made me feel like a zombie for 36 hours. I really couldn't think or concentrate. It does work, once the drowsiness wears off. I was pain free for two months after taking one pill. I just recently had to take another. It really gave me my life back. I recommend using it for muscle spasms, and muscle pain."

"I was prescribed flexeril, the generic brand cyclonenzaprine. I take one tablet at night. After taking the medication for about two weeks straight, I have experienced muscle weakness in my right arm. My doctor told me to start taking the medicine as needed. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without it. While taking the medicine, I don’t experience muscle spasms. This medicine works great, it does stop muscle spasms. The side effects can be controlled."

"After a total knee replacement, I suffered severe muscle spasms for six weeks. My surgeon recommended Cyclobenzaprine Hydrochloride 10mg. Within 24 hours my spasms were totally gone. I took the recommended dosage for five days. No side effects to speak of, however I was finally able to sleep longer than an hour or two. I recommend this drug."

Amrix (cyclobenzaprine) "All I can say is: WOW! Amrix works! I have tried every muscle relaxant under the sun, including Valium, the gold standard of hospitals. Nothing seemed to help. I have moderate to severe muscle spasticity and rigidity. I was in agony before Amrix and noticed a difference on the VERY FIRST DAY! Since I have tried all the alternatives my insurance company had suggested, I was able to get this pre-authorized and covered. If you suffer from muscle pain, spasm, rigidity and trigger points, this is a MUST try."

"My Favorite medicine. I have tried other pain relievers, including Vicodin, but nothing takes the pain away more than Flexeril. It is never had any serious side effects for me and I have even been able to take it while at work to improve my performance when my back would flare up. Best time to take it is right before bed because it puts me right to sleep when I needed to and I wake up feeling no pain at all."

Comfort Pac with Cyclobenzaprine (cyclobenzaprine) "I used Deep relief cream 4 times a day. It took time and had a little bit of walking outside or at the gym slowly to kind of help the muscle move a bit. Stretching is also good! Back spasms are really bad. I hope you guys recover and good luck!"
