Qulipta (atogepant) "I've suffered from chronic migraines for 25 years, with over 20 pain days a month (15+ migraines and 5+ headaches a month). Most severe enough to require medication. I started Qulipta 2 months ago, and since about 2 weeks into treatment, I haven't had a single migraine or headache that required pain medication. It feels too good to be true, but it's working miracles as of right now."

Qulipta (atogepant) "I have had migraines since I was 7 and they run in my family. Now I'm 51 years old and for the first time in my entire life, I have gone 6 weeks without a migraine. Constipation is being managed with MiraLax and I had to learn to take Q first thing in the morning to protect my sleep. The first two weeks of taking it at night, I couldn't sleep through the night, and I had insanely vivid dreams. Moving it to the morning took care of that. It does not make me sleepy during the day. I have an entirely new way of living and realize what a fog I was in on Topamax. Grateful for the scientists who figured this one out!"

Qulipta (atogepant) "I was able to get a 40-day supply of Qulipta from my PCP. I started taking it while in the middle of a 7-day long migraine. Once that migraine stopped, I stayed migraine-free for over 30 days. I started splitting my 60mg pills on my last 4 pills, but that caused breakthrough migraines. I decided to instead finish the last two days with full pills. Since stopping, I've had daily headaches again and am planning to go to the ER for the migraine 'cocktail'. I am miserable without the medication, but insurance won't cover it. The side effects that I had while on Qulipta included mild constipation and joint pain in my knees. I felt very tired the first few weeks on it, but I started taking it at night and that helped a lot. The joint pain was getting better towards the end of the month, and I think it may have completely resolved with the continuation of taking it. Fiber and mild laxatives helped with the constipation. I am extremely sad that I can't take the medication at this time."

Qulipta (atogepant) "I have tried nearly every available drug for migraine treatment. Nearly my entire life, I have just been treating them as I get them with the typical drugs like triptans. I found out over the years that I was allergic to most preventives. Qulipta has been like a magic potion for me. I hardly ever get full-blown migraines anymore. And when I do get them, they are very mild compared to what I was living with before. I have my life back. I no longer live in fear that a migraine will strike and prevent me from either driving home or ruining an event or even losing my job. The only issue I have now is constantly battling my insurance company to keep paying for it. They want me to keep trying these other drugs again and again that I am allergic to or that are ineffective for me."

Qulipta (atogepant) "Since starting Qulipta, I haven't had a migraine. I have never gone 12 days without a migraine before. I am really concerned about the cost of the medication. Since I am on Medicare, I don't qualify for the savings program, and adding the cost of another script might not be doable."

Qulipta (atogepant) "I've tried seven other medications (including injectables) - this is the first medication that has actually decreased my pain! I have a Chiari malformation, plus chronic migraine. After just a few weeks on 60 mg Qulipta, my daily head pressure was less, and I haven't had a full migraine at all (now six weeks into treatment). Zero side effects (though I wouldn't complain if I had the weight loss side effect!)."

Qulipta (atogepant) "I just recently started taking Qulipta 60 mg. I received samples from my Neurologist. I was doing really well with Botox plus Vyepti and then I had a stroke. Right after the stroke my migraines went back to every day and the best I could do was to tamp the pain, nausea, confusion, light, and noise sensitivity a little bit. We decided to try something different. So I started Qulipta. Three days in I knew something was different. Even with allergy season and sinus congestion, I can almost stop the pain with a little cold medicine or dual-action medicine. I am able to think and concentrate on daily chores and paying bills. I was already tired from trouble sleeping and Qulipta makes that worse so I sometimes need to go back to bed after breakfast for a couple of hours; I have moved to take the Qulipta to the evening and that is a little better."

Qulipta (atogepant) "Have been taking Qulipta 60 mg nightly for past 5 months for chronic migraines. Prior to this medication, 3-5 migraines per week. Now 1 or 2 times a month mild migraines, usually with fast changing weather conditions. Extreme fatigue has been the side effect. Trying improved diet and increased exercise to try and counter fatigue."

Qulipta (atogepant) "I have been taking qulipta now for about 5 months. It has been a game changer. I was having around 15 migraines a month and now I have 1 in 5 Months. My main side effect is extreme fatigue. I have to work through that because tiredness is better than migraines. It has gotten a little easier every month."

Qulipta (atogepant) "I have been using Qulipta for about six months now, according to my neurologist's recommendation. 60 mg was far too much for me, so I halved the dosage. My hair has begun to fall out. I'm experiencing way more than average hair loss. I also have extreme dry eyes now. Has anyone else experienced these side effects? This medication works so well for me, so I hate to stop taking it."

Qulipta (atogepant) "I have had a chronic, left-sided migraine, 24/7 for just over 8 years. I have had every test, tried every medicine, and nothing has ever worked for me. Injections, pills, infusions, and I have even had my Greater Auricular Nerve and temporal artery removed. I didn't have much hope for Qulipta when I tried it, but much to my surprise, it worked. My headache has been 95% better since day one. I take 60mg. It has been life-changing for me."

Qulipta (atogepant) "I have been having migraines since I was 11. For the past 10 years, they were every day. I would be in pain and horribly sick for days with a migraine hangover following. 8 treatments didn't work. I ended up having to use Sumitripan every day and became chemically dependent. A new doctor prescribed me Qulipta, and within a week, my migraines stopped. I may get one every 1-2 months now. It has completely changed my life. I can be around smells and light without worrying how quickly the migraine would set in. My quality of life was seriously diminished until I found Qulipta."

Qulipta (atogepant) "I have had a constant migraine for years, making it hard to think or to do daily routines. I have tried every migraine medication out there, Qulipta is the only medication that has helped me. I do Botox every 3 months while taking Qulipta every night. Now I only have a few migraines a month and they are not as bad as they used to be. I’m so thankful for Qulipta, I got my life back."

Qulipta (atogepant) "It is a wonderful miracle tablet. I take one daily in the morning and it avoids a migraine all day. This is the first relief I have had in 30 to 40 years. Too bad it's so expensive. I can't afford the prescription and have to rely on samples."

Qulipta (atogepant) "I started taking Qulipta (30mg) about two weeks ago in combination with another daily preventative migraine med. I have not had a headache since starting Qulipta, so I am cautiously optimistic. I was previously having between 2-4 a week. Notable side effects are loss of appetite (I have already lost 8 lbs), dry mouth, and my mouth also feels numb. This sensation of numbness in my mouth contributes to my loss of appetite, as things just don't taste the same. I don't really get any enjoyment from eating - my favorite foods just don't taste the same, so I don't really look forward to eating anything in particular, which I don't love, but I have suffered so long with migraines that if this medication can really give me the long-term relief that I have been looking for, it's a trade-off I'll accept. My insurance did not cover the medication entirely, but my doctor gave me a savings card and after using the card at my pharmacy, the balance owed was $0!"

Qulipta (atogepant) "Been on it for a year. 60 MG. It's been a game changer for me. I've have mirgraines/Headaches since I was 9. I've been on every migraine medication and prophylactic imaginable. I take Maxalt a few time a month before my period and thats it! I use to take it regularly. Only side effect is depression but I don't know if thats the medication or situational. but seriously, the best medication ever!"

Qulipta (atogepant) "I have been a lifelong headache sufferer for over 50 years, experiencing as many as 15-20 headaches a month. I have pretty much tried every option out there, from beta blockers to Botox and even acupuncture, with no real substantial benefit. I used to take 3-4 ibuprofen for each episode, but over the past 10 years, I could only take a triptan to abort the pain. I have been on only 10 mg of QULIPTA nightly for almost 3 months and have only had about 6 headaches. I haven't had too many side effects other than dealing with constipation, which I have had most of my life anyway, probably due to other meds. I'm going to stay on this for now to see how it goes for a few more months, but so far I am pleased with the results. I had to get this approved by my insurance company, and they wanted me to purchase it from a mail away service. I am currently using the Qulipta savings card, which is fantastic. I just need to purchase it at the local pharmacy."

Qulipta (atogepant) "I tried Qulipta in October of 2023. I tried to do Metamucil and other bulk products to be proactive for the constipation I read about. I put on 6ish pounds in the first week, felt bloated beyond belief, couldn’t sleep, was waking up at weird times from weird dreams… It was bad. So how did I get to giving this a perfect 10? I went back to Topamax, hated it just as much as I did before, did a TON of research on what others had posted about side effects and decided to try Qulipta again at the beginning of this year. I decided to aggressively go after the constipation and take Miralax daily if that’s what I had to do. I took my Q in the morning around 7:30 AM every day. And since I did the restart - I’ve had to use the Maxalt I normally exhausted every month in terms of the allowable pills - twice. I’m at the point where I only need the Miralax once or twice a week, I’m sleeping solidly, waking up refreshed and even working out in the morning. I LOVE QULIPTA!!!"

Qulipta (atogepant) "I started taking Qulipta about 2 months ago. I've suffered from migraines since I was 3. I have had chronic headaches my whole life. I've tried so many medications, and the side effects were crazy, and I couldn't take them. This is the first medication that actually works. The only side effects I really have are constipation and fatigue. And my appetite has decreased, which is fine with me. I highly recommend!"

Qulipta (atogepant) "I've been taking 60mg for over a year. It was a miracle at first, down to 1-2 migraines a month from 9-15. I've been starting to have more migraines again though, plus my insurance is being crappy about covering it. Nurtec, Ajovy, and all the usual meds didn't help me. I also didn't realize that yeah, the hair loss and fatigue I've been feeling is probably from Qulipta until reading more reviews, ugh. I've dealt with dry mouth, dry skin, constipation from it since the beginning."

"After 6 weeks on 60 mg atogepant, the migraine ceased. It had been occurring every 2-3 days, so this was a relief. It does have side effects for me though: hair loss, weight gain, fatigue, breathlessness, constipation."

"I have been using Qulipta (atogepant) 60mg once daily now for 9 months. I have chronic migraines and daily chronic headaches. What I have found with using Qulipta is that my daily headaches have reduced in severity and now I can use ibuprofen to knock them down, whereas before, they would just develop into daily migraines. When starting Qulipta, I did experience nausea for a few months, but I stuck it out because I needed to find something that helped my headaches. I wanted to try Qulipta as a daily preventative because its sister medication, Ubrelvy, works great for me when I do get a migraine. I wish Qulipta would help slightly more, but I am already on the maximum dose. For now, I am continuing with the Qulipta daily along with my quarterly Botox regimen."

Qulipta (atogepant) "Switched from Ajovy to Qulipta approximately 5 months ago. Immediate improvement in the first month with an additional 3-5 pain-free days, resulting in 8-10 pain days per month instead of the 12-15 I was experiencing with Ajovy. Noticed a definite lower appetite and a resulting weight loss of approximately 15 lbs. This is a positive change for me as I have been around 50 pounds overweight for the last 11 years due to lack of exercise (which triggers migraines). Experienced increased dizziness and vertigo for the first 2-3 months, which has somewhat diminished with continued use. Also, encountered increased fatigue and feelings of depression. Switched to taking it at night, which seemed to help a bit with daytime fatigue. Unfortunately, I seem to have lost the joy I once felt doing the things I love, which is most concerning. Now, 5 months later, I am experiencing a lack of interest in pretty much everything. March has been particularly bad with variable weather. It seems like, similar to Aimovig, Emgality, and Ajovy in the past, Qulipta may have slowed down or stopped working, or I am developing immunity. I am frustrated that I am running out of options."

Qulipta (atogepant) "13 days ago I started 30 mg daily of Qulipta with zero expectations. Today, I am going on day 13 of not having a migraine. I can honestly say this medication has changed my entire life in only 13 days. Upon taking my first dose, the first three days following, I had horrendous sharp stomach pain and constipation. These side effects are finally easing up but not entirely. For me, the pros versus cons in taking this medication was something I really thought long and hard about before taking it. I ultimately decided that stomach pain over multiple migraines a week was something I could deal with. I’m hoping it’s temporary and will subside even more than it already has. I have also been tired in a way that is kind of hard to describe but not to the point where I can’t function on a regular level. I feel like my body is getting used to this medication slowly but it feels like it's working! I can still feel the mood changes associated with my migraines, which is crazy, but overall 10/10"
