Nuvigil (armodafinil) "It comes down to a very basic choice: DO I want to remain semi-comatose, in pain from head to toe, or remain drugged up and semi-sentient from the cocktail of potions meant to ease my "depression"? NUVIGIL is a third, best option. NUVIGIL brings back your ability to focus, concentrate, persevere, work at whatever your body can handle that day... all the things that make living productive and rewarding. Before NUVIGIL, I was losing, or had lost so many parts of my personality to just EXISTING from one prescription of AMBIEN, CYMBALTA, LYRICA, AMITRYPTILINE, FLUOXETINE, DOXEPIN, ZOLPIDEM, HYOSCYAMINE SULFATE, CYCLOBENZAPRINE, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, LISINOPRIL, METHOCARBAMOL, PROPANOLOL, etc."

Nuvigil (armodafinil) "Just as the previous person commented....I happened upon Nuvigil/Provigil while being treated for the ugly side effects of Fibromyalgia...such as sleep disorders, PAIN all over (in my muscles), and an overall sense of fatigue - every day. My Nuvigil ACTUALLY makes me WANT to move. And, any Fibromyalgia patient would know that it is crucial for us to maintain some sort of movement everyday, even exercise if we can. I think this is one of those medicines that were proposed (and approved) through the FDA for one primary condition. However, with time we find more uses for the medication that it may work even better on other conditions. If it weren't for my Doctor - I would not have found this amazing option for my condition."

Nuvigil (armodafinil) "I suffer from Fibromyalgia along with some sort of sleep problem. My doctor gave me a trial supply of Nuvigil to help keep me awake through the day so that I could get a full nights sleep. Even if I can keep awake all day, I still can only get 3-4 hours of sleep a night...even with sleeping pills. However, I am SO glad my doctor decided to give me Nuvigil. The pain in my legs is GONE! I've had crippling pain in my legs since the onset of my Fibromyalgia (among other places). The more I walk, the worse it gets. To my surprise, after I took my first Nuvigil, the pain in my legs disappeared. What a wonderful surprise. Helps my ADD too. Now I have to beg my doctor for a prescription."

Nuvigil (armodafinil) "I've have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, and neuro-musculoskeletal disease as well as Multiple Sclerosis and depression. I was told of Nuvigil by a friend who also suffers with MS and fibromyalgia. I found myself in a deep depression with so much pain I was sleeping 18 hrs a day. But since I've been on Nuvigil I am able to stay awake more alert and have been able to get my life back. It doesn't whack me out like Adderall did. I feel happier and more alert thanks to Nuvigil. This has been a wonderful experience and I thank my friend for suggesting it. What a life saver!"

Nuvigil (armodafinil) "I love this medication because of the diagnosis of fibromyalgia. I have such a hard time getting motivated and not wanting to sleep all the time. This medication helps me stay awake. I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a prescription card out there usually at the doctors office. It will help with the co-pay and usually takes up to $50.00 off of the cost of the medication. "

"Dx’d in 2014 with Fibromyalgia & ME/CFS. Also have ADHD & Insomnia. Went from being a career artist with a fantastic job to sleeping over 18 hours a day. Can’t take NSAIDs or opiates; just gabapentin & Cymbalta. Told my dr I was turning into veal, and was there anything to try? After 3 sleep studies he prescribed Nuvigil, and added Belsomra as a sleep aid. Bingo! Now I’m only in bed for about 13 hours, but I can think, make it to appointments, and help with the grand babies. It’s not a cure-all, I still have flair ups, and hubby still has to open my pills, but I can move, think, ride my horse, and I don’t feel as stupid. I’ve had no negative reactions except it kicks my ADHD into hi gear for the first three hours, and I still eat w/ gusto, like the regular fat chick I am. Can recommend! Get the dr and pharmacist to team up on the insurance company. And use the coupon on the Nuvigil website."

"Was dx w/ Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (RSD) in 1998 at age 15, and then fibromyalgia in 2001. Spent a lot of time exhausted and completely bed ridden. Around 2005 I was diagnosed with ADD and put on Ritalin. It really helped with my concentration and the fatigue! I could actually get out of bed. When I had to switch doctors they didn’t want to prescribe it anymore because I was no longer in school and I didn’t work, so I guess I don’t need to be able to concentrate. So I started nuvigil. I take 300 mg a day and it is the only thing that allows me to get out of bed. If I do not take it I cannot get out of bed, and I will sleep all day. I would like to go back on the Ritalin, it works better for my concentration and ADD, but since my doctor won’t prescribe it, I’ll definitely keep the nuvigil. It has been a life saver. I don’t find it directly helps with the pain, but it allows me to get up and keep moving, and that is always good for anyone with chronic pain."

Nuvigil (armodafinil) "I took this to help with the endless, debilitating fatigue I have from fibromyalgia. It didn't relieve my physical or mental fatigue at all but it did keep me awake until three in the morning (I took it about 11 am). I felt jittery and feverish (no actual fever, though). It kept me going all day but I still had the heavy, uncomfortable feelings of physical and mental fatigue. "

"I have had fibromyalgia many years. Mental fatigue led to physical inactivity which was made worse by several orthopedic surgeries. My sister had fibro too and both of us have RA and sleep disorders. She was given the Nuvigil to stop sitting comatose in her chair all day. She is thrilled that she now has her life back, completely things she put off five years. So I asked my sleep doc for Nuvigil. He gave me 150 mgs. Took for three days and my whole body felt very tense, trouble sleeping and headache. I seemed to have a little more energy. I stopped Nuvigil two days and tried again with a half pill. That is perfect for me for brain clarity and focus. No side effects at all at a half pill. I'm very happy that I am now taking care of things I needed to do ten years ago. It is wonderful for me. 500 mgs turmeric twice a day really cuts the pain."

"I have been on this for a year now, I have fibromyalgia with chronic fatigue. I take this for the chronic fatigue and it honestly makes me feel normal for the most part and I am able to take naps or sleep etc.. It doesn't help me with fibro pain but not laying in bed focusing on the pain is gone."

"I had been on Nuvigil for over 8 years making my fibro and Epstein Barr bearable. Just being able to stay awake during the day with what I call natural energy and then naturally feeling tired at night. The all over body aches and sensitivity generally would be as low as a 2 instead of an 8 comparatively. When my Rheumatic doctor put me on it way back then she stated it was being considered for fibro patients then. And now for the first time my insurance has denied my doctors prescription and I'm in appeal. My sleep is almost nonexistent, yet I'm exhausted. I ache every day pain level (6-9) and many days I just cannot make it out of bed for any length of time. If you have access to Nuvigil or it's generic I hope you have the benefits."

"Excellent product! I actually take it for MS. It is wonderful to have my "want to" back if only temporarily. Unfortunately Fla Blue will not cover for MS so hoarding is my only option. The result are worth it!"

"It was way better than nothing at all, but it did nothing at all for my pain. This helped my fatigue enough that I could be mostly functional, but it was like a low level of energy stretched out through the day, and I still ended up not having enough energy to do a lot of the things I want to do. Ritalin worked 10x better at helping my fatigue than Nuvigil did."

"I was first given Provigil about 15 years ago, to treat the disabling fatigue of my Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. My insurance stopped covering it, so I went several years without anything for fatigue. About 7-8 years ago, I asked my psychiatrist if there was ANYTHING else like Provigil that could help with the fatigue, and they suggested Nuvigil. I started out at 150 mg a day, but after a couple of years I had to go up to 300 mg. I usually take both 150 mg tablets together early in the morning, or if I know it’s going to be a long day, I’ll just take one in the morning and the other around noon or 1 pm. This medicine has been a godsend in helping me be able to get up and get going in the morning. On days I don’t take it, for whatever reason, I will sleep all day. I do worry though that I am developing a tolerance to the 300 mg. I don’t really take it now unless I have plans, or need to to be awake for something."

"It helps with my severe body aches. The only other thing that helped was oxycodone. When I got on this, I was able to get off oxy in 5 days. All of my severe body aches went away. I still have the typical everyday aches and pains but at least now I can live."

"An absolute game changer... I would not be able to work, raise my kids, and function at almost a normal level without it. It has allowed me to have an almost normal life and manage days with pain so much better! The fatigue is crushing for us. This is something every fibro patient should have access to!!! It was so expensive years ago, but thank God insurance covers the generic now."
