Applies to testolactone: oral tablet.

Warning

Testolactone should not be used for the treatment of men with breast cancer or in patients with a history of allergic reactions to the drug.

Stop taking testolactone (the active ingredient contained in Teslac) and seek emergency medical attention or contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following serious side effects:

an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives);
new breast lumps;
bone pain;
menstrual changes, abnormal vaginal bleeding, vaginal discharge, or pelvic pain or pressure; or
excessive nausea, vomiting, or thirst.

Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.

Gastrointestinal

Gastrointestinal effects including glossitis, anorexia, nausea, and vomiting have been reported.^[Ref]

Cardiovascular

Cardiovascular effects including increase in blood pressure and edema of the extremities have been reported.^[Ref]

Nervous system

Nervous system effects including paresthesia have been reported.^[Ref]

Dermatologic

Dermatologic effects including maculopapular erythema have been reported. Alopecia, both with or without associated nail growth disturbance has been reported rarely.^[Ref]
