Pemirolast ophthalmic Side Effects

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction while taking pemirolast ophthalmic: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop using this medicine and call your doctor at once if you have:

severe burning or discomfort in your eyes after using the drops.
Common side effects may include:

headache; or
-
runny nose, cold or flu symptoms.

Respiratory
Respiratory side effects have included rhinitis and cold or flu symptoms in 10% to 25% of patients. Less common side effects that have occurred in less than 5% of patients have included bronchitis, cough, sinusitis, sneezing, and nasal congestion.[Ref]
Nervous system
Nervous system side effects have included headache in 10% to 25% of patients.[Ref]
Ocular
Ocular side effects have included burning, dry eye, foreign body sensation, and ocular discomfort in less than 5% of patients.[Ref]
Hypersensitivity
Hypersensitivity reactions have been reported in less than 5% of patients.[Ref]
Genitourinary
Genitourinary side effects have included dysmenorrhea (less than 5%).[Ref]
Musculoskeletal
Musculoskeletal side effects have included backache in less than 5% of patients.[Ref]
