For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Took my first 0.25mg Wegovy dose yesterday. I felt nauseous about an hour later but within 2 hours I started vomiting. For the next 16 hours, I dry heaved throughout the day and night. I couldn't even keep water down. It hasn’t been a full 24 hours yet since I took the shot and feel horrible, hoping that these side effects will stop soon. There is no way I’m taking another shot next week."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I had been on this drug for 4 months. Typical escalation dose until month 4 I stayed on the 1mg. The side effects were rough since increasing to 1mg. So much nausea, worsened reflux, constipation, bloating, burping, and indigestion. I vomited once but there were a few times I almost did. In the last few weeks, I noticed hair loss. Noticed skin tags that I have never had...like 3 grow since the med. Weird. Oh, and I had serious issues with certain smells. I had to change out the hand soaps in my house 5 times. If I smell rubbing alcohol I am instantly nauseous. Just looking at the wegovy box before injecting would make me dizzy and nauseous. So weird. Difficult to eat healthy on this med due to side effects and only able to tolerate simple carbs, low-fat diet. Also hard to work out when feeling so nauseous...so didn't think it was contributing to my health. Has not really contributed to weight loss and appetite is almost the same as before med."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Easy to administer but during first few weeks had zero weight loss. Dose was increased. Woke in the middle of night after last dose with severe heartburn. Vomited every four hours for two days. Missed day of work. Not able to keep anything down including water. Put on anti nausea medication. Have to sleep in sitting position and take antacids and prescription meds to control heartburn enough to sleep. Cannot wait for medication to get out of system so I can function without vomiting or constant heartburn."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I wish I had great news to share but I don't have any, yet. I'm in my 4th month of using Wegovy. I started my 1st month at the lowest dose and each month have bumped it up to the next one. I take my 3rd injection of the 1.7 mg dose tomorrow and unfortunately, I have not lost any weight yet. In fact, I think I may have gained about 7 lbs. I'm not entirely blaming the drug. It says right on the informational paper it is more effective with a healthy diet and exercise, which I have not been consistent with. The one thing that I have noticed, is it has helped me feel less hungry. I'm hoping once I get to full dosage and am consistent with eating healthy, I will then see weight loss results."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "One word - Amazing. I was so skeptical when starting this medication. I thought it would be just like everything I've tried before, but it's not. It works. Two months in and 20 pounds down. It's like magic! I have had some brief periods of nausea, but I drink some ginger ale and it helps a lot. I read that this medication would be a game changer for weight loss and it has not disappointed."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started out with .25mg. I did that for four weeks and only felt slight nausea after the injection. Today, I bumped up to the .50mg dose and within five hours I was nauseous. I finally vomited and I feel better, but have no appetite now. Nothing sounds good. I’m also sleepy. So far, the weight loss is only about five pounds. If I stay nauseated, it’ll probably increase drastically, but what a dumb way to live! I hope it’s temporary. I could be sick once a week and survive, if I get done decent weight loss. I am also fairly active and I exercise 4-5 times a week. I don’t have a thyroid bc of cancer 9 years ago."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been taking this medication since April 2023 and have lost almost 60 lbs so far. I started with 0.25 mg, after 4 months increased to 0.50 mg and in November increased to 1 mg. I didn't experience many side effects at 0.25 mg but my appetite was drastically reduced. At 0.50 mg, I began to experience gastric reflux primarily when eating late, spicy foods, and pizza. It helped me avoid those foods. In November, my dosage was increased to 1 mg and I have also noticed nausea on a consistent basis. Not enough to reconsider taking the drug, but it does affect what I'm comfortable eating and I eat lightly. Drinking water is very important for digestion and hydration. Over the next year, I'm hoping to lose at least 50 more pounds and I am anticipating that I'll be on this drug for the rest of my life, and I'm fine with that! I'm feeling so much better! Moving is easier and I'm finally able to take some exercise and yoga class."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on Wegovy in April 2023 with a weight of 271lbs. My current weight is now 233lbs and this weight loss is with minimum mobility. I started at the lowest dosage and am now on 2.4. I didn’t experience any symptoms until I reached 1.7, I felt nauseous and fatigued on the first day of injection but after that, I was fine. I definitely eat differently, I cut out the starches like potatoes and pasta which gave me that overly full feeling and I have never been a fan of snacks and sweets. I have a new love for fruits and veggies now though and I eat mainly protein and veggies and I feel like Wegovy helped me to live a healthier lifestyle when it comes to food choices. On occasion, I may get a craving for something a bit more hearty and treat myself but Wegovy has definitely helped me to lead a healthier lifestyle as I approach my 40s."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Nausea, diarrhea, constipation, sulfer burps, fatigue, loss of appetite, super sensitive to smells, I have to make myself eat enough. It's like morning sickness only it's 24/7. Zofran helps for about 6 hours. Cannot tolerate much besides chicken broth and Brussels sprouts. No fried, fatty, oily, spicy foods. Need to stay hydrated with water. Ginger ale helps. I'm up to 1mg dose and 14th week. This nausea is constant and impacts my daily routine significantly. However it is the only effective weight loss option that's worked. In 26 years of diets and exercise and eating healthy. I will not give up. The weight is killing me and I needed this medication. I started at 221lbs. and now I'm at 194.3 lbs. BMI is close to pre-obesity and I know I'll cry the day I hit it. Full disclosure, I'm disabled in part due to my weight. There is no way I could have worked and taken Wegovy with the severity of my nausea and fatigue. But the mobility and breathing issues are improving."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on my first week of the 2.4 dose (so I am just starting month 5.) My weight loss seems a bit slower than others (story of my life) BUT I am still losing! I’ve lost 26 pounds in 5 months with making few modifications to my diet. I eat similarly to how I did before, but my portions are much smaller. I have experienced some side effects, but everyone’s experience is different. I can usually combat the upset stomach and gas with gas-x and pepto. I have experienced constipation, but that’s honestly something I’ve battled all of my adult life. Miralax in my morning tea or coffee certainly helps with that. Bottom line for me is this… the occasional side effects are 100% worth the results I’m seeing!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Avoid this injection. I took my first dose few weeks ago and I have never been so sick. Constant vomiting after 4 hours, throwing up bile. Ended up in hospital has I became dehydrated. Week later still got on and off vomiting. The reflux is terrible and can't eat anything. It's better to be yourself than go through all this"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Began Wegovy three weeks ago -- have lost 11 pounds so far. Ready to move up to the .5 mg dose. Side effects have been minimal -- some tiredness and a bit of constipation, but nothing awful. The key is to listen to your body. If you feel full, then stop eating. That's Wegovy doing its job. Don't ignore it. Good luck to all."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on week 2, getting ready for the 3rd shot tomorrow. I must be an odd duck because the shot gives me energy and controls my appetite. It also cleared my head; I have no brain fog suddenly. I have had no nausea or constipation yet. Last night, we made hamburgers and I think I overate because I woke up about half an hour after I went to bed, totally nauseous and threw up dinner. I went right back to bed and back to sleep and felt great in the morning. After reading other people's reviews, I think they are right - you need to portion control your food and be totally cognizant to recognize when you're full and not overeat just because it tastes good. That is what has gotten me to this place I am in right now, being overweight. I have lost 5 lbs so far and need to lose around 115 more. Here's hoping Wegovy can take me to the finish line in weight loss."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy since January 15, 2022. I have lost almost 40 lbs. When I first started, it was the usual nausea and heartburn that could always be fixed with a Pepcid AC. I have noticed now that I am past the 1.0 MG I have been getting dizzy when I stand up like I am about to pass out and having a reoccurring brain/vision fogginess off and on. About 9 months in, I started to have a tingling/numbness in my foot, face, and hand. Have any long term users experienced this? I am going to get off it and see if it clears up."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Good success in the first month at 0.25. 78 years old, male, good health. Started at 248 and now I'm at 228 exactly four weeks later. Coupled with a one-hour intensive hike every day, as well as a draconian (unsustainable) diet. I do this combo every few years and can generally bring my weight down to 210 with great effort. I'm hoping that with Wegovy I can keep the weight off. I'm a foodie who bakes, and I love SUGAR! So, a lot of this early weight loss was easy because I just eliminated all sweets. No more of my precious Mexican coke in ice-cold bottles, NYT cheesecake, home-baked cookies, and croissants!! Just water to drink (lots!) and two small meals a day. Nuts and a teaspoon of peanut butter to curb food desires. Again, not sustainable unless I can get to a Wegovy level which dampens my desire. No significant side effects so far, but I'm moving to 0.5 today. My GERD is gone, my knees feel better, and sleep apnea reduced."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "No weight loss at all in 3 months. I’m at 1.5 dose now. I also have a sluggish thyroid so not sure. Feel an upset stomach, acid reflux and nausea. And very tired after the injection. Have lost about 3 lbs and gain it back by the next day. I eat low carb and usually I’m not hungry. I have no idea why I'm not losing any weight."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "First, I love Wegovy and have been on it for 2 years and lost 45 lbs with only minor constipation that 3 prunes in the morning manage. However, as a polyp former, I get a colonoscopy every 3 years. I was unable to cleanse my colon with 8.1 mg/64 oz (Gatorade) of Miralax and with 2 bisacodyl. I stopped taking Wegovy 12 days ago, but obviously that did not work. MDs that do colonoscopies need to be warned or advised to give new instructions for bowel cleansing when taking Wegovy."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on 0.25 of Wegovy on 15th December 2023. I weighed 21 stone. I now weigh 18 stone 8lbs (26th February 2024). At the start, I felt nauseated constantly and after about 4 spoonfuls of food, I couldn't eat anymore. I find I no longer enjoy eating at all, and I have to force myself to eat most days. I also can't drink coffee anymore and have no interest in any drink apart from water. When I started 1ml, I was violently ill for the first 4 days and didn't want to continue with injections, but I did (since it's so pricey) and it did calm down. I should move to 1.7ml this week, but my pharmacy (Boots) has none, so I have to stay at 1ml for another month. I'm hoping to stay on Wegovy for another 3 months. I will update next month."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Wegovy definitely works if you can tolerate being nauseated all the time; it takes away cravings for everything, I had to force myself to eat. Fast forward 4 weeks on meds I ended up getting the sickest I have ever been in my life! Thought I had the stomach flu for 4 days but it just kept getting worse. Ended up in ER with an inflamed liver, kidneys, severe kidney infection, urinary tract infection and dehydrated. I would do anything to lose weight because I need a knee replacement and DR wants me to lose 30 pounds before he will operate. This scared me, BAD. I still don’t feel 100%. Anyway who doesn’t want to lose weight right? Wellllll After my experience this is just not worth it. BTW I have never had any issues with kidney, liver, etc. it was from this drug."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "First dose 0.25mg, had slight stomach pain/discomfort. Later that same night, my appetite disappeared. Just seeing a fast-food commercial on TV made me feel nauseous. I thought if that's the worst of the side effects that affect me, then I'll be very happy with that. By the next day, stomach pain and nausea increased. By 4:00 am, BAM! Diarrhea, severe stomach pain, projectile vomiting, headache, chest pain, severe itching mainly on the palms of my hands and arms. I truly thought 'this must be what it feels like to be poisoned!' I was scared. It is now the next day and I feel fine. A little tired from lack of sleep from feeling so sick. I think I will do my second dose next week...but I'm quite nervous of a repeat of feeling like I was dying from the stomach pains and vomiting. Will I continue with this drug?...jury is still out! On the positive side, I've already lost 5 pounds; but of course, I can't & don't want to eat, too much nausea and vomiting."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took 0.25 dose the first month and lost 10 lbs. Mild symptoms of dizziness here and there. Then didn't take it for the next month because it was on back order. I'm on the 3rd injection of the 0.5 and have lost 9 more lbs. Side effects are a little more dizziness and very tired for a couple of days after the injection. I slept a lot and drank lots of water and chicken broth for these symptoms. Appetite is definitely curbed. I eat 2 meals and a protein smoothie. Low carb/high protein. I lift weights at the gym because you lose fat and muscle on this drug. That's why it's easy to gain weight back when you stop taking it. Drink lots of water all day. Because I'm losing good and the side effects are manageable, I'm going to stay on this 0.5 dose for now. I hope to lose a total of 70 lbs. My insurance covers it, so my copay is $25 a month."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started wegovy April 2023. I'm at 1.0 mg now. I have lost 30lbs along with exercise and watching my calories (1200 a day). The nausea is horrible, but I have to lose the weight for health reasons. I'm 5'1 and over 300lbs with bad asthma and CHF. Wegovy has helped me tremendously. I give it a 10."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Definitely helps with less appetite! I have lost an avarage of 2 lbs a week. Side affects are thirst and nausea. I have found that ginger helps with nausea. I recommend patients do what makes them feel best!"
