I take 100MG of Losartan and 10 MG of amlodipine, but as they are both for high blood pressure should I be taking both of them?

Yes, amlodipine and losartan can be taken together to control blood pressure. They both have different modes of action by which they regulate blood pressure.
Amlodipine is in a group of drugs called calcium channel blockers. It relaxes (widens) blood vessels and improves blood flow. Amlodipine is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) or chest pain (angina) and other conditions caused by coronary artery disease.
Losartan is in a group of drugs called angiotensin II receptor antagonists. It keeps blood vessels from narrowing, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow.
Losartan is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It is also used to lower the risk of stroke in certain people with heart disease.

These medications can safely be taken individually, or in combination as prescribed by your provider (Licensed Physician, Licensed Physician Assistant, or a Certified Nurse Practitioner).

I took 75mg of Losartan and 5mg of Amlodipine and my BP went from max 210/110 once to 120/79.
6 months After Gallbladder surgery it recently jumped to 160/99 then I toped Losartan to 100mg and no difference, today I raised Amlodipine to 10mg and finally saw my BP reaching 120/78. no side effect, I do have other health issues such as Gout,Spinal Stenoses, Sciatica and Possible Axial Spondyloarthropathy. There are no drug interaction between the two.

I take 50mg losartan
and 10 mg amlodipine
I get a dizzy sensation on a regular basis.
Should I take one in the morning and one in the evening.

Chances are that, if you are experiencing dizziness, that you over-medication to some degree. The concentration of one or perhaps both of the component medications may need to be lowered if your blood pressure is running too low. Also you may have dizziness as a result of too low a dose if your blood pressure is too high. may be taking a higher concentration of one or the other medication. If you have a reliable BP monitor, check at least daily to see how your blood pressure is trending both before and after you take your medication.

I am currently taking Losartan Potassium 100mg and Amlodipine 5 mg together and my blood pressure has been close to normal. It was 150/101, many days going to the doctors office and is now running 127/61 just last night. These two meds compliment the other for my body and metabolism quite well.

after researching both of these medications I have found that they both can and are used together due to the fact that they (if you will) compliment and work together to accomplish the job of reducing high blood pressure, this does not relate to you but on the one it is used in other conditions as well but they are safe to use together
