Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Vaccine
This treatment applies to the following species:Killed Virus
For vaccination of healthy pregnant sows and gilts pre-farrowing against diarrheal disease in their neonatal pigs caused by porcine epidemic diarrhea virus. This product license is conditional; efficacy and potency have not been fully demonstrated. For more information regarding safety data, go to productdata.aphis.usda.gov.
Directions For Use
Shake well and administer 2 mL intramuscularly. Healthy pregnant swine should receive 2 doses with the first dose being administered 5 weeks prior to farrowing. The second dose should be given 2 weeks prior to farrowing. Pregnant swine should be vaccinated with a single dose 2 weeks before each subsequent farrowing. Duration of immunity has not been evaluated.
Precautions
Store at 2°-8°C. Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Transient site swelling may occur following vaccination. Contains gentamicin and thimerosal as preservatives. Do not mix with other products. In case of human exposure, contact a physician.Technical inquiries: (888) 963-8471
