Medications for Proteinuria

Proteinuria occurs when there is a significant amount of protein present in the urine when tested. Proteinuria can be classified according to what is causing the protein accumulation, increased glomerular permeability, decreased tubular reabsorption or an increased production of proteins. Each classification has a range of causes therefore treatment for proteinuria is dependant on the diagnosed cause.
